Day 1 - you arrive in Marrakech and are taken by private transport to your Riad in the Medina for the night.

You are warmly welcomed by Moroccan tea and friendly smiles. Gathering together for dinner in the evening allows the opportunity of getting better acquainted with your fellow travelers.

Day 2 & 3 - early morning, day 2, we drive over the High Atlas Mountains to Ait Ben Haddou,UNESCO World Heritage site where we'll stay two nights. We'll have much to keep our eyes on here as we spend our days and nights meandering within and around this amazing structure.

Day 4 & 5 - we head farther east where the Erg Chebbi desert awaits. Tall dunes, star filled nights, Berber music, and the awe inspiring magic all around us.

Day 6 & 7 - let's go to the Gorge. Todgha Gorge, that is. Where local Nomads live high up in the cliffs caves.

We'll stay at the fabulous Auberge la Festival. We'll eat from their organic garden, hike, and explore the Gorge.

Days 8, 9, 10 - find us in Marrakech, the Red City, amongst the beautiful chaos of gorgeous architecture, snake charmers, monkeys that cling, shopkeepers calling out your name and a multitude of bright colors. Truly a photographers paradise.

Day 11 we depart for home.

I'm the wandering photographer who is passionate about discovering new places and faces. I've traveled the world, and my bucket list still grows. I feel fortunate sharing my gifts of seeing. The aliveness I feel when traveling surpasses none. I cannot put this one down. It's the journey, not the destination. Learn more about me here.

In the winter of 2013, I went to see Morocco and stayed for more than a year. I fell in love with the country because of its stunning architecture, arid climate, and warm people. I immersed myself in the rural areas instead of the bigger cities, as I felt as though I was living in an ancient time there.
My performance art background imbues everything I do.
I am a published poet, painter and Traveler in Chief at Authentic Traveler.
